So Chris made this quote on Sunday that was quite convicting.
“We are more in love with the idea of being missional, than in love with the God of the mission”.
Umm…ouch.

It really makes sense though, being missional is something we can “do” where just being in love with God, well thats just not nearly as cool. We can tell people our greatest goal is to “do” missions or mission work, its what gets us fired up and passionate, we are in the end, selfish people who want other people to see the things that we are doing and think that we are great or cool or cutting edge or missional or whatever.
If we started realizing that what we should be doing is seeking Him and His way, His purposes for our lives, and how He wants us to be missional, that things would be a lot better and the mission we are on would be a lot more sucessful. But boy-howdy arent we stubborn, our ways must be better than Gods ways, surely we can see how this will play out better than the God of the universe. Oh how much we have to learn and how much we have to learn to let go of…
