The past few days…

I really can’t say how excited I am about the momentum at the Vista. I can sum most of it up from the past 3 days:

Sunday…I’m not even sure where to start with Sunday. It was amazing. Great energy in the crowd. Worship was so rich. Really felt more excited and clear about the preparation and sharing of God’s vision for the Vista than I’ve ever felt since the launch of our church. We basically talked about “What We Will Be Known For……there are a ton of words that we could use…community, worship, passion, etc…all of these words would work…but THE word God has called us to be described as is…

RECONCILERS…

Simply put…we are called to reconcile the poor and the rich, the black man and the white man, the suburbs with the city, oh…and also…the lost and the found. Missional living has to go from our tagline to our hands and feet.

Sunday afternoon, we spent a few hours having an Easter Egg Hunt (a month ago it was horrible weather), pizza, music, and games for some precious kids - and moms - in some government housing in East Austin…CLICK HERE to see why this rocked…

Monday…our COM Group had a great time meeting, praying, and vision-casting for where God’s taking our group…I really, really love our COM Group family!

Tuesday…we finished our first leadership podcast this morning. Chris and I really want to “redeem technology” and allow what the world has abused and misused, to be used to push back darkness and bring heaven to earth. Our passion for this podcast? We want to reproduce leaders…all the time in every way we can imagine.

We also had a stellar Leadership Team meeting. We are putting our process of moving to eldership into place. God is really starting to burn us four guys together and is making us one. This takes time, circumstances, prayer, and experience. Wow…this is getting so fun for me…us.

Yeah, so…God’s making seismic shifts in the culture of our church…can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
